Selected National Careers Service salary guidance and weekly hours, plus apprenticeship minimum wage rules effective from April 2026. A source compilation, not a UKTJ survey, live vacancy sample or estimate of take-home pay.
Version 2026-10-12.1. Sources checked . This download is a dated snapshot; check the linked source for later changes.
Read these figures correctly
- NCS is England’s careers service. Its starter-to-experienced guidance does not establish separate rates for UK nations or regions.
- Typical hours and salary guidance are separate measures. They do not establish a measured hourly rate, contractor income or take-home pay.
- Carpenter and joiner entries share one source profile. They are not two independent salary samples.
- Apprentice figures are UK legal hourly minimums with age and training-year conditions. The April 2026 schedule is separate from the career ranges.
- No live adverts or frozen Pay Index values are included. A source check date is not a salary observation period; missing dates remain blank.
The 19 source records
Each card is one record in both downloads. IDs stay the same when an existing measure is checked again.

Salary figures are pounds per year; statutory rates are pounds per hour; hours records have no currency or pay period. Null JSON values and blank CSV cells mean the field is not supplied or does not apply, never zero. The dataset has no retained survey sample or observation period behind the NCS guidance.
