Quantity Surveyor - New Build Social Housing Location: Birmingham / Midlands - Hybrid Working Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE + Car Allowance + Benefits Job Type: Permanent Think Recruitment are working with a well-established main contractor who are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. The position sits within their new-build housing division, delivering social housing developments across the Midlands. The role will be based out of the contractor's Birmingham office, with a flexible working setup split between the office, project sites and a couple of days working from home. With a strong pipeline of secured work across the region, this is a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking for long-term stability, flexibility and career progression. The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for new-build housing projects, working closely with the operational and wider commercial teams. Responsibilities will include: Commercial management of new-build housing projects Procurement and management of subcontractor packages Preparing valuations, variations and cost reports Managing subcontractor payments and final accounts Monitoring project budgets and commercial performance Identifying and managing commercial risks Working closely with site and operational teams Developing strong relationships with clients and subcontractors About You We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor who ideally has: Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor A background in new-build housing, residential or social housing Main contractor or housing contractor experience Strong commercial and contractual knowledge Good communication and negotiation skills The ability to manage projects and your own workload effectively What's…
