Conveyor Belting Fabricator & Field Service Engineer Location: Greater Manchester based with travel across the UK and Ireland Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 + Overtime + Call Out Payments + Excellent Benefits Job Type: Permanent, Full Time The Opportunity An established engineering business specialising in conveyor and material handling solutions is looking to recruit a Conveyor Belting Fabricator & Field Service Engineer to join its growing operations team. This is a varied, hands-on position that combines workshop-based belt fabrication with field-based installation, maintenance and repair work at customer sites across a range of industries. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring conveyor systems operate safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime. This opportunity would suit someone with previous conveyor belting, mechanical maintenance, field service or industrial engineering experience who enjoys a mixture of technical workshop and site-based work. Key Responsibilities Workshop Duties Fabricate and assemble conveyor belts to customer specifications. Carry out various belt joining and splicing methods. Install accessories including guides, cleats, tracking systems and specialist components. Operate workshop machinery and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently. Work from technical drawings and production instructions. Perform quality inspections before completed products are dispatched. Maintain accurate documentation and production records. Ensure a clean, organised and safe working environment.Site Installation & Service Install and replace conveyor belts at customer facilities. Attend breakdowns and provide effective repair solutions.
